About the Book

Why Mother-to-Mother was Created...

There are a wide variety of books available to help you recover from Postpartum Depression. Most are written by a psychiatrist, psychologist, or other medical professional with a clinical perspective. And, there are now many biographical accounts of women, famous and not so famous, who have shared their traumatic stories in an entire book.

When I suffered from Postpartum Depression, what I found to be most helpful was finding actual "real life" stories sprinkled into the available PPD recovery books. These few and far between brief "gems" provided me with the most hope for recovery. These mothers had gone through it and survived, and so could I.

Once I recovered, I was driven by a passion to help mothers everywhere by creating the book I wanted to read to help me recover when I went through it, but could not find. Along the journey, I found hundreds of women who felt the same...and were eager to participate and share their stories.

The Mother-to-Mother Postpartum Depression Support Book: Real Stories from Women Who Lived Through It and Recovered is the result of many years collecting surviviors' stories to assure you that...as the "mantra" of PPD recovery groups often state, "you are not alone, you are not to blame, and you can recover!"
